Get Help Setting Up Your PPC Account

For those of you that are interested in getting involved in the world of PPC (Pay-Per-Click) I have some helps for you. A colleague of mine, newspapergrl, referred me to some videos that will teach you how to set up an account with Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and MSN adCenter. These are the three big ad networks that you’d want to consider. Of the 3, Google adWords is probably the most important. Also, MSN is the newest.

Anyway, here’s the link to the videos if you need helping setting up a PPC account:

I have an ecommerce site that we used PPC for when we first got started. Now we have the rankings we want (for them most part), but PPC got us going. My experience was that it was very difficult to get traffic from yahoo or msn; almost all of ours came from adwords. Cool videos.

Hey Mark,

I would agree that PPC is a great way to get some traffic when you’re first getting your site going. Thanks for the input on your experience with the different programs out there!

I think it needs to be said again and again until people get it. Even a problog needs a business model to go with it. I think it’s tragic that people try so hard to make the blog their business. Can’t people see that it’s just a way to communicate with your audience?
